Why a Community Baby Shower?

This event is a community response-based initiative. This event will strengthen Protective Factors for parents and caregivers. This event will celebrate and support expectant parents and new and growing families with children up to age 2 with vital tools, information, and knowledge about community resources to give their baby the best possible start in life. Parent will also receive concrete supports, make new social connections, and have the opportunity to simply to have fun together!

What is a Community Baby Shower?

This event will host a variety of organizations, programs, and nonprofits centered around pregnancy, child/family care and wellness. Community Resource Providers will share information about resources, and there are giveaways, demonstrations, and raffles that promote healthy and happy families. The first 75 parent/caregivers to register will receive a free “Welcome Baby” bag full of goodies for new babies and their families. There will also be a clothing boutique with donated baby and maternity clothes of various sizes, and yummy refreshments for all attending.
